Matthew E. Morgan is a licensed therapist, award-winning cosplayer, and author whose work lives right where geek culture meets mental health. Through his "Cosplay Thyself" project, Matthew treats cosplay as a form of identity work, exploring how the characters we choose can help us understand, rehearse, and grow into who we are becoming, and his first book, More Than a Story, arrives this fall.
At Con-Quest, Matthew brings a full and varied slate. He will lead panels on cosplay craft, from building and painting to content creation, and he will host honest conversations on mental health, including the therapeutic use of tabletop roleplaying games.
Whether you build, game, write, or simply love a good story, stop by Matthew's booth and share your fandom love.
